Westborough – Neil Kale, a sophomore at Westborough High School, won the Westborough Lions Youth Speech Contest for 2018. The contest was held Nov. 27 at Tatnuck Bookseller.

The speech topic was “Integrity: What Does it Look Like?”. Kale competed against three other excellent speakers from Westborough High School: sophomore Rachel Fredman and freshmen Amir Hameed and Sonia Kang.

Each student’s speech was 5 to 8 minutes in length per the contest rules and were judged on three main categories: Delivery, Effectiveness, and Text.

The Westborough Lions Club is very proud of all our speakers this year. They radiated excellence and poise, and gave mature, thoughtful consideration to the topic. Congratulations to all students who participated! For more information about the contest, please visit westboroughlionsclub.org.
