Raymond W. Ellis, 95, of WestboroughWestborough – Raymond W. Ellis, 95, of Westborough, formerly of Albertson, N.Y., passed away Dec. 25, 2018 at the Beaumont Skilled Nursing Center. He was the husband of Dolores M. (Koelsch) Ellis.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Wyatt and Genevieve (O’Connell) Ellis and was raised and educated in Brooklyn. During WWII he served with the United States Marine Corps.

Raymond was employed as a conductor for the Long Island Rail Road prior to his retirement.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a life member of the VFW.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Lawrence Ellis of Chelmsford, Colleen Perkins of Ithaca, N.Y., Diane Paterline of Finksburg, Md., and Daniel Ellis of Holliston; one brother, Howie Ellis of Cherry Valley, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

His funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 31 at St. Luke the Evangelist Church of Westborough, with burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
