Anne M. SimoesHudson – Anne M.  Simoes, 78, a life-long resident of Hudson, passed away Jan. 23, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Anne was born July 28, 1940, in Marlborough, the daughter of the late John and Rose (Charland) Gill.

She leaves behind her husband, Richard Joseph Simoes Hudson; her son, Richard Carl Simoes of Hudson; her daughter, Julie Ann Robbins and her husband Chris of Berlin; a sister, Margaret Murphy and her husband Leo of Hudson; and sisters-in-law Theresa Gill, Ginny Simoes, Pauline Clement, and Carol Borelli. She was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph, John, and Robert Gill.

Anne graduated from St. Michael’s Academy and The Ward School of Business. She was employed as a secretary in the purchasing Department of Digital Equipment Company’s facility in Maynard. Later she was employed by the Hudson School Department as a food service worker at Camela A. Farley Elementary School until her retirement.

Her greatest joys in life came as a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. She is already greatly missed.

Mrs. Simoes’ funeral was held Jan. 28 from the Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home of Hudson, with a Mass at St. Michael’s Church and burial at Forestvale Cemetery.
