Lorraine A. BentHudson – Lorraine A. (Boisse) Bent, 89, of Hudson, formerly of Marlborough, died Jan. 27, 2019 at the Coleman House in Northborough.

Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late J. Aime and Dina M. (Roy) Boisse and the wife of the late Albert H. Bent, to whom she had been married for 44 years. She was also the mother of the late Cheryl A McKenzie.

Graduating from St. Michael’s High School in Hudson in 1949, she went on to take fashion and sewing courses at a Worcester college.

Lorraine was an accomplished seamstress who worked out of her home for years with many clients, including some who traveled from New York City to make or alter their outfits.

She is survived by her son, Richard Bent and his wife Nancy of Marlborough; her daughter, Donna M. Milot of Hudson; and her sister, Claudette Tetreault of Hudson. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, Feb. 1, from 4-6 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough, followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date.
