Hudson/Marlborough – Pauline D. (Miles) Porter, 86, died Feb. 9, 2019 after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Donald Porter, who died in 2012. They were married for 57 years.

She was born in Hudson, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Irene Fisher, and lived in Hudson and Marlborough all of her life.

Mrs. Porter was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War.

She enjoyed reading, playing Bingo and trips to Foxwoods.  She spent many summers at  Hampton Beach with her family and loved “planting trees.”

She is survived by two sons, Scott Porter and his wife Edwina of Uxbridge and Larry Porter and his wife Jayne of Royalston; two daughters, Robin Davis and her husband Brian of Uxbridge and Bonnie Porter of Hudson; four grandchildren, Christopher, Dana, Kyle and Alec; and one great-grandchild, Quinn.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, Feb. 15, from 4-7 p.m., in the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St., Marlborough.
