Shrewsbury – Kevin Mizikar, the Shrewsbury Town Manager, is seeking a qualified individual interested in serving on the Commission on Disabilities to fill an unexpired term to expire on June 30, 2021. Interested parties for this vacancy must be disabled in order to comply with M.G.L. Ch40, Section 8J.
The Commission on Disabilities consists of seven (7) persons appointed for staggered terms and is responsible for advising the community on issues associated with disabled persons. The specific duties and required composition of the Commission is set forth in M.G.L. Ch40, Section 8J.
The Commission meets quarterly throughout the year in addition to special meetings depending on the workload of the Commission. Information on the Commission on Disabilities can be viewed at https://shrewsburyma.gov/189/Commission-on-Disabilities.
