Anthony J. FedericoNorthborough – Anthony J. Federico, 94, passed away peacefully at home Feb. 26, 2019, his loving family by his side.

He leaves his devoted wife of over 69 years, Grace C. (Danna) Federico; two sons, Michael Federico of Northborough and Stephen Federico and his wife Kathleen Cappellano of Natick; his precious granddaughter, Deanna Federico; and many loving nieces and nephews. His brothers, Constantino, Sam, and Gino, and his sister, Rose Fabiano, all preceded Tony in death.

Tony was born in Boston, a son to the late Michele and Maria Federico. He grew up in the North End and was a graduate of the former Roxbury Memorial High School.

Tony worked many years as an U.S. Postal Service letter carrier at the Wellesley Post Office.

He enjoyed boxing and at one time himself, was an amateur boxer. He took pride in caring for his home and was known for his immaculate lawn, flower and vegetable gardens. Most important to Tony was having his family close to him.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday, March 2, from 8:30-10:30 a.m., at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Northborough. His funeral will take place at 12 p.m. in the chapel of Knollwood Memorial Park, 319 High St., Canton.
