Algonquin’s Debroczy is all-around champion at state tournament

Northborough – The Algonquin Regional High School gymnastics team placed sixth in the Girls Gymnastics State Tournament March 2.  Algonquin hosted this year’s state tournament, in addition to competing, and was the only team in the region to qualify.

Algonquin standout freshman Lizzy Debroczy was the all-around champion, led by her top finish on the beam with 9.750 points and third place on both the vault and bars.

As a team, Algonquin scored 143.050 points, with Mascononmet/Lynnfield winning the meet with 148.975 points.
