Westborough – Political newcomer Allen Edinberg received the most votes (614) in the race for Westborough Board of Selectmen in the March 5 Annual Town Election. Incumbent Leigh Emery, with 579 votes, won the second spot in the race. The two defeated incumbent Bruce Tretter, who received 451 votes. There were also 131 blanks. The Board of Selectmen was the only contested race in the election.
According to Town Clerk Wendy Mickel, 889 voters (out of 12,254) participated.
