Are you ready for some dodgeball to benefit Hudson YSAP?

Hudson/Marlborough – The Hudson Youth Substance Abuse Prevention (YSAP) Coalition has a full evening of fun planned for its first dodgeball tournament fundraiser on Friday, March 29 (snow date Saturday, April 6), from 6 to 9 p.m., at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School (AVRTHS) in Marlborough. A $5 admission includes five chances to win door prizes with a total value of over $1,200. Proceeds will support future Hudson YSAP programs offered free of charge.

Come for the pizza, pastries and beverages, then stay for the double-elimination tournament with teams consisting of players ranging from fifth-graders to adults. Sponsored by the RF Wood Foundation, a team of Town Hall employees headed by its captain Recreation Director Steven Santos includes Joshua Aponte, recreation assistant; Debbie Craig, health department administrator; Christine DiMare, accessors department principal clerk; Dan Hannon, assistant recreation director; Thomas Moses, town manager; Fernanda Santos, human resource and licensing manager; and Joan Wordell, town clerk.

See trophies awarded to each player of the winning team, most spirited and best uniform. The festivities will be emceed by DJ Power Play with a cappella music performed by REHarmonix. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and get information from representatives of substance abuse prevention and recovery resources.
