Kenneth H. WareLakeville – Kenneth H. Ware, 77 of Lakeville, Westborough, and Burnet, Texas, passed away at his home Feb. 27, 2019 with his loving wife of 17 years by his side after a short sad battle with cancer.

Ken is survived by his wife, Barbara Alger Ware, and two sons Ric Ware of Spencer and Kip Ware of Bertram, Texas. He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Margare; a brother, Lawrence; and sons Ken Jr. and Kevin Ware. He is also survived by two brothers, Donald (Shirley) of Texas and Richard (Kathe) of Westborough, and sister-in-law Evelyn Ware of Westborough.

Ken was born in Cook county Chicago, Ill. in1941. Upon completion of school in Westboro, Ken and his brother Rick formed Ware Brothers Contracting a small building, excavating, and trucking business. He also worked as a union carpenter.

Ken coached the Red Devils football team in Westborough during the 1960s and 1970s.

Ken sold his home on Water Street in Westborough and moved his family to Austin and then Burnet, Texas in 1977, where he formed and ran a successful contracting co. In his retirement years, he lived with his wife Barbara on the water in Lakeville and their winter home in Aruba. Ken was an avid golfer both here and in Aruba.

He will be greatly missed by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A private service will be held at a later date.
