RegionA cold and blustery winter evening did not deter over 250 people Feb. 26 as they gathered at the Framingham Sheraton Tara for a major networking event. Three area Chambers of Commerce – the Corridor Nine/495, Marlborough Regional, and MetroWest – took the opportunity to expand their networks over drinks and hors d’oeuvres and listened to a few words from their respective presidents.

Corridor Nine/495 President Karen Chapman welcomed everyone to the fourth annual joint event, and thanked the sponsors, Middlesex Savings Bank and the Sheraton, for their generosity.

Robert Schlacter, who was named the president and CEO of the Marlborough Regional Chamber just six weeks ago, expressed his excitement at seeing such a well-attended event.

The president and CEO of the MetroWest Chamber, Paul Joseph, spoke of an old saying, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together,” reminding those in attendance of the power in working together, encouraging attendees to make the most of the evening.

Business cards were traded, ideas were exchanged, future meetings arranged, and the seeds of new friendships and partnerships were sown.
