Shrewsbury – Paul Campaniello has announced that he is seeking re-election to the Shrewsbury Housing Authority (SHA) for the town’s annual election which will be held on Tuesday, May 7.
“I’ve lived in this community my entire life,” Campaniello said. “Growing up, many of this town’s seniors were my neighbors, friends’ parents, school teachers and parishioners. It’s important to me that they have an experienced voice advocating for them.”
Campaniello has served on the SHA for 10 years, and currently is its chairperson. During his tenure, he said, the SHA has experienced growth in the number of residents it serves, the type of housing it offers, and the ways that it supports the community.
“The SHA is considered to be one of the best run authorities in the state and I’m running for re-election, because I don’t want to see that change,” he added.
In addition to the SHA, Campaniello has been a Town Meeting Member since 1989, was a founding member of Shrewsbury Oil Assistance Relief (SOAR), is on the Beal School re-use committee, has served on several philanthropic committees and has been a significant charitable supporter of numerous town projects, such as the Library Campaign.
