It is with great enthusiasm and confidence that I endorse John Samia’s candidacy for the Shrewsbury Board of Selectmen.
Having served with John as a colleague on the Shrewsbury School Committee for 6 years,
I witnessed first-hand his commitment to our community in advocating for continued excellence in our schools.
John’s experience as member of the 2013 Fiscal Study Committee along with being an active Town Meeting Member has provided him with a sound perspective and clear understanding of the many challenges ahead for our community.
While serving our town in a number of capacities, John has proven, time and again, to be an excellent listener, an articulate communicator and effective problem solver. Now more than ever, these critical skills are needed to bring people together to achieve successful outcomes.
In addition, his professional experience as a corporate lawyer with a strong financial analytics background, comprehensive budgeting knowledge and practical business experience will enable him to make an immediate impact as a member of the Board of Selectmen.
John is an experienced and thoughtful leader who is committed to hard work and focused on working collaboratively with town officials to get things done. Clearly, John will make a positive difference in contributing to the long term vibrancy of our town.
