Three injured in Marlborough motor vehicle collision
Three people were injured in this head-on collision.

Marlborough – Marlborough Police, Marlborough Fire and Patriot EMS responded to a two vehicle head-on collision early Sunday afternoon, April 7, on Lakeside Avenue in Marlborough resulting in three people being transported to the hospital.

A Ford pickup truck and a GMC Terrain collided just past the entrance to the Waterwind Knolls Condominium Complex.

Marlborough Engine 2, Rescue 1 and Car 5 responded to the collision, along with Patriot EMS’ P3 and P6 as well as numerous police cruisers. The westbound lane of Lakeside Avenue (Route 20) was shut down, with traffic diverted to a parallel access road.

Both vehicles had extensive front end damage. The driver and passenger of the truck were transported in one ambulance, while the driver of the SUV was transported in the other.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Marlborough Police Department.
