Fight ALS in Worcester April 27  Worcester – The ALS Association’s premier event, the Walk to Defeat ALS®, will be held Saturday, April 27 at General Foley Stadium, 305 Chandler St., Worcester.

What began more than 15 years ago as a grassroots effort to increase awareness has now turned into a National Signature Event that the entire ALS community rallies behind, growing the number of teams and participants each year.

Participating in the Worcester walk has a direct impact on people living with ALS and their families at the local level. Through education, support groups, access to care and advocacy, the Association will continue to work to defeat ALS and provide hope to people living with ALS and their families.

Check in starts at 9 a.m. with the walk commencing at 11 a.m. The walk is 3 miles long. There is no charge to enter – participants are encouraged to ask their families and friends to support their fundraising efforts.  Individuals and/or teams are welcome to participate.
