Westborough – The Congregational Church of Westboro and the American Red Cross are teaming up for their 13th blood drive in honor of Corinne Sciarappa on Saturday, May 11.
Corinne continues her courageous fight against rhabdomyosarcoma as she prepares to graduate from Westborough High School. She has received nearly 200 units of blood and platelets through her treatment.
Thanks to the support of our community, over 1,000 blood donations in Corinne’s honor have been collected thus far. There is currently an urgent need for blood, making this a particularly important time to donate. Right now, blood donations are being distributed to hospitals faster than they are coming in.
The blood drive will be at the church’s 57 West Main St. location from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Scheduling an appointment is highly recommended. Visit redcrossblood.org, sponsor code Corinne, or call 1-800-REDCROSS to sign up.
