Shrewsbury – The calendar may say spring but people were bundled up in parkas, hats and scarves for a very chilly and breezy Earth Day event held at the Lakeway Commons April 27. The developer of the plaza, Grossman Development Group, LLC, teamed up with SELCO (Shrewsbury Electric & Cable Operations) for the first time to host this annual event.
Attendees received starter herbs and an assortment of tree saplings, seeds and succulents to take home. Other businesses in the plaza offered their own promotions, discounts and giveaways.
