Hudson’s Togneri shuts down Marlborough

Marlborough – The visiting Hudson High School Hawks softball team defeated the Marlborough High School Panthers by a score of 12-0 in a game played May 9.

Natalie Bishop hit 3 singles and scored 4 runs, while Caitlin Cassidy had two hits and knocked in 4 RBIs. Sophia Togneri struck out five and allowed just two hits in the shutout. Togneri, who so far this month has tallied both her 500th career strikeout and 100th career hit, also hit a two-run single in the game

With the win, Hudson improves to 10-2 on the season while Marlborough falls to 5-7.
