Southborough – At its recent Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon the Southborough Council on Aging selected Sue Baust as its “Southborough Senior of the Year.” This annual award recognizing an individual who has gone above and beyond to make Southborough a better place to live was presented by Bill Harrington, president of the Council on Aging.

Baust was honored for her dedicated service to the town through her participation in numerous organizations including the Garden Club, Pilgrim Church, and as member of many town boards and committees. She exemplifies the volunteering spirit that was the focus of the Appreciation Luncheon. The luncheon is sponsored each year by the COA to thank the many town seniors who volunteer of their time and talents to make the Cordaville Hall Senior Center a welcoming “go to” place for the town’s elder population.

Previous recipients of this award include the late John Wilson, Arthur Holmes and Bonnie and Peter Phaneuf.
