Norman F. LacasseNorth Grafton – Norman F. Lacasse, 82, of North Grafton, passed away May 16, 2019 at Saint Vincent Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, after a bravely fought battle with Scleroderma.

Norman is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Giorgio) Lacasse, with whom he celebrated 55 years of marriage last month; two sons, David F. Lacasse and his wife Leanne M. of Sutton and Robert J. Lacasse of North Grafton; two grandsons, James Lacasse of Paxton and Joseph Lacasse of Sutton; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Norman was born in Webster, son of the late, Armand and Helen (Blaszczak) Lacasse.  He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School, and later served his nation proudly in the United States Marine Corps.

Norman was a tool maker and machinist for Waters Associates in Milford for 25 years, before retiring in 2002. He was a member of Saint Mary’s Parish in Grafton.

Norman was an enthusiastic Boston sports fan, and enjoyed fishing of all kinds: ice, pole, and deep-sea. He was an avid card-game player, especially Cribbage, and loved food more than anything. Norman was happiest around his family and was so proud of his grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Sunday, May 19, from 3-6 p.m., in Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. His funeral will be Monday, May 20, departing the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. in procession for an 11 a.m. funeral Mass at Saint Mary’s Church, 17 Waterville St., North Grafton. Interment will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery of Worcester.
