Summer fun in the heart of the Blackstone Valley

Douglas – Breezy Picnic Grounds and Waterslides first opened its gates in 1953. We started out as just a small swimming and picnic area. Families would come to start their day cooking breakfast on our little wood burning grill pits, and spend the rest of the day enjoying the lake and visiting with family.
In 1983 under second generation family, two waterslides were put in. This was a huge undertaking.
Now as Breezy Picnic Grounds waterslides, we serve families from the Blackstone Valley and beyond! We offer a fun-filled day for all ages, swimming in the beautiful, clear, Whitins Reservoir and now watersliding as well!
In the year 2000, as we were becoming a hot spot for camps, scouts, and school field trips we wanted to offer another ride. We built our Tunnel slide with offers a quick drop, darkness, and more speed than the other two slides. Kids enjoy building up their confidence for the “Tunnel Twister”.
It was right around this time when third generation son Keith Forget took over the family business with his wife Loren. Together they have worked hard building and maintaining the family friendly atmosphere, safety, and cleanliness of the grounds.
We cater to guests with young families, tweens, and grandparents. School trips, summer camps, Scouts, and family reunions. It’s a great place to plan a playdate during the week.
You are welcome to bring your own food in, so many people love that option. We even allow gas grills! We see lots of people grilling on the weekends and it always smells so good! For those who can’t be bothered with lugging the extra stuff, we have a great concession stand with all kinds of summer favorites!
We offer lunch fare as well as goodies and ice cream. We also offer healthy options and aware of food allergies – there is something for everyone. We have super clean restrooms and changing areas, free parking, certified lifeguards at the slides and lakefront. There are plenty of picnic tables throughout our beautiful grounds. Some are gathered under the shade of lakeside trees and others in the sun.
Last summer we added a new Mini River slide for the younger kids 42 inches and under. This was a huge hit! The mini slide goes right into the lake. There is no additional charge to use this slide. We wanted to offer something for the little ones that they can do on their own. Parents gather right at the bottom to cheer them on.
Breezy truly is a wonderful place to spend a summer day.
