Malti SrivastavaShrewsbury – Malti Srivastava, of Shrewsbury, died peacefully May 16, 2019, surrounded by her family.

Mummy, Dadi, Nani. Born in Jaunpur, India in 1935, Malti Srivastava, wife of the late Dr. Surya Prakash Srivastava, faced adversity with ferocity and loved just as ferociously. She taught her children to never back away from challenges, to love boundlessly and to always work hard and work honest.

Armed with orange Tic-Tacs and Oreos, she was a forever cushion, both physically and metaphorically, for her grandchildren, who she loved to spoil. Her big red house, blue swing, poster-window and pear trees a safe haven for the family. She was warm consistency, sarcastic faces and whole-bodied loving.

She raised her family in South Kingstown, R.I. and leaves behind her roots in her beloved children, Niraj and Nandita, Rekha and Santosh, Shailesh and Meena, Alka and Kailash, that continue growing through her always cherished grandchildren, Natasha, Sameer and Nicole, Sarika, Neha and Gary, Ankeeta and Jacob, Sajen, Maya, Sagar, Sejal, and Ronit.

Funeral services were held May 20 at the Ellen Rogers Kennedy Memorial Chapel at Rural Cemetery of Worcester.
