Shrewsbury – Alfred (Don) Donald Hermans passed away May 29, 2019 at the age of 86, surrounded by his family.
He leaves his wife of 63 years, Beverly Ann (Lenkalis) Hermans; his son, Alfred Donald Jr. and his wife Melissa; his daughter, Judy Tenore and her husband Frank; six grandchildren, Lisa, Stacy, Billy, Erica, Marissa and Andrew; and 12 great-grandchildren.
As a young man, he proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean war. Upon returning home, he married the love of his life, Beverly, and started a family in Shrewsbury.
He worked as a plant manager for the Frem Corporation in Worcester and in retirement worked as a groundskeeper for Cyprian Keyes Golf Club in Boylston.
He travelled the world on many cruises and enjoyed going to the movies and ball room dancing with Beverly. He truly enjoyed every minute he spent with his family, whether it was teaching grandchildren how to swim, baby-sitting or spending time with family pets.
Please join his family for a memorial service Saturday, June 22, at 2 p.m., at Millbury Baptist Church, 17 North Main Street, Millbury.
