Region – On May 16, the Boys & Girls Club of MetroWest (BGCMW) hosted a celebration in honor of its 75th year serving youth in the MetroWest community. Over 200 guests attended the open-house style event, which was held at the organization’s Marlborough Clubhouse.

Club members and staff led discussions on the club’s key program areas which include Health & Life Skills, Character & Leadership, Education & Career, and Sports, Fitness & Recreation, as well as provided information on the club’s summer camp program, Happy Hours Preschool, and Discovery Club. Additionally, members of the club’s Alumni Association spoke with guests about their experiences at the club and how to get involved. Guests also had the opportunity to take a tour led by club members and staff, participate in a Cake Raffle, and enjoy delicious appetizers donated by Evviva Trattoria and 110 Grill.

During the event, BGCMW President Chris Duane spoke of the club’s accomplishments and her vision for the future.

“As we look to the future, it is our responsibility to ensure that we continue to be relevant, we inspire, and we empower our youth to achieve success,” she said. “We truly thank our supporters for their generosity and we cannot wait to see how our organization will grow over the next 75 years.”
