Saint George Orthodox Cathedral to host Middle Eastern Festival

Worcester – Saint George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna St., Worcester, will be hosting its first Middle Eastern Festival in 25 years. The three-day event will take place Friday, June 7 (3-11 p.m.), Saturday, June 8th (12-11 p.m.), and Sunday, June 9 (12-6 p.m.). Come feast on falafel sandwiches, beef or chicken shawarma straight from the skewers, grape leaves, beef or chicken kabobs hot off the grill, kibbe and more. Guests will also have a chance to sample Middle Eastern desserts alongside a cup of Arabic coffee. Enjoy the bar (including Lebanese beer, wine and arak) while listening to amazing singers and watching the dabke troupe perform a traditional Middle Eastern dance.
