Southborough – Maowu Huang, of Southborough, 80, beloved husband of Zhongjie Zhu, passed away surrounded by his family June 12, 2019 at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus Hospital after a sudden illness.
Mr. Huang was a retired professor of Southern China Agricultural University and resided in Southborough with his daughter, Ying Huang. He had long journey on sport, education, and health cultivation. He had a successful carrier as the Dean of Sport Department at SCAU and became a well-known scholar in the cross-field of sport and health. He was a dedicated family man and active figure in the local Chinese community.
Mr. Huang is survived by his son, Ming Huang, and his wife, Ping Zeng, and his daughter, Ying Huang, and her husband, Daniel Xu. He was grandfather of Alice Huang and Alisha Xu and brother of Maoe Huang and Maoshen Huang.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visiting hour Tuesday, June 18, from 10-11 a.m., at the Chiampa Funeral Home ~ The Sumner House, 5 Church Road, Shrewsbury Center, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
