Focusing on servicing Honda, Acura and other Asian brands
By Dave Pasquantonio, Contributing Writer
Westborough – There is no shortage of auto repair places in the Westborough area. The hard part for customers is choosing one that they can trust. Who is knowledgeable about the vehicle? Who can do the job right? Who stands behind their work?
If you own a Honda, an Acura, or other popular Asian brand, check out Armendo’s Foreign Auto in downtown Westborough.
Chris Armendo opened his shop nine months ago to focus on servicing Honda and Acura vehicles. He works on a bevy of other Asian brands, too, including Toyota, Lexus, Subaru, Kia, Hyundai, Nissan, Infiniti, and Mazda.
Armendo’s is a general auto repair and maintenance shop, focusing on scheduled and preventative work like fluid changes, filter replacement, and tune-ups. Chris performs all types of fluid changes, including oil, transmission, brake, power steering, coolant, and differential. Chris is also a full-service brake specialist, from disc to drum, ensuring that the pads, shoes, rotors, drums, and calipers are doing their job.
Chris is a local guy, having grown up in bordering Shrewsbury. He’s also a car guy. After high school, he graduated from the automotive technician program at Porter and Chester Institute (at the top of his class) and worked for a Honda and Acura specialty shop. He also worked in a machine shop. He earned an associate’s degree in business, and he combined his education, work experience, and passion for autos to open Armendo’s Foreign Auto.
All vehicles are heavy with electronics, and Chris keeps up to date on all of the tech used by Honda, Acura, and the other auto makers. When warning lights start flashing, car owners can be mystified, especially with new vehicles, which seem to be more computer than machine. That’s not a problem for Armendo’s Foreign Auto—Chris has the diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and fix the problem.
Repairs and maintenance can be overwhelming for the average car owner (and even for folks with years of experience working on their own cars). It’s nice to have someone like Chris Armendo in your corner, whether it’s for regular service or a quick fix. And Chris’s shop, from the repair bay to the storage and tool areas, is clean and tidy—the pride he has in his business is clear.
Chris guarantees all of his work, and he disposes of all waste fluids and other items in an environmentally-conscious fashion.
Armendo’s Foreign Auto is nestled in downtown Westborough at 3 Union Street, a quick stroll to the park and coffee shops for customers wishing to wait locally after dropping off their vehicle for service.
Armendo’s is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. To schedule service, call Chris Armendo at 508-329-6500 or stop by the shop during business hours.
