Grafton – Members of Grafton Girl Scout Troop 30222 were honored with the Silver Award in a ceremony held at Mechanics Hall in Worcester June 20. The girls were honored for their projects: “Heroic Honey Bees, “Marvelous Monarchs,” and “Terrific Turtles” in which they learned about the plight of the endangered local honey bees, monarch butterflies and indigenous turtles and educated the community about how to help the species by protecting and enhancing their habitats.

The Troop’s leaders are Colleen Nash and Angela Hogue. Also in attendance at the ceremony was Girl Scouts Central and Western Mass CEO Patricia Hallberg.
