Westborough – After an intensive search process that had 31 candidates initially applying for the position of Westborough Town Manager, the winning candidate is a familiar face – Kristi Williams.
Williams first came to Westborough in 2010 as Assistant Town Manager, serving under Town Manager Jim Malloy. When Malloy resigned in October to take a position in Lexington, Williams was named Interim Town Manager. After her final interview with the Board of Selectmen June 25, the board praised her approach of collaboration and teamwork with the town’s department heads, citing that as one of the main factors in their decision to name her as Town Manager.
