Shrewsbury – Dalton’s Cherrywood Kennel is now celebrating its 51st year in business.
It all started in Grafton, Mass in 1962. Like so many pioneers in their respected fields, Dorothy Dalton is self-taught, learning from experience and the love of animals. Unknowingly, she began her career by grooming her own miniature poodle; soon she was grooming her friends and neighbors pets.
The response was so overwhelming the Daltons converted their garage into a full service grooming facility.
Today, Dalton, along with her highly trained dedicated staff, is a hands-on owner operating the longest established and finest grooming and boarding facility for cats and dogs in the Metrowest area.
Dalton is a highly respected International Dog Show Judge for the American Kennel Club and brings to her clients a lifetime of experience with a wealth of knowledge in the understanding of the love and needs of all the pets in her care.
She and her staff are dedicated professionals assuring compassionate professional care for all animals and also to provide education to all responsible pet owners who wish to seek it.
