Northborough – The Rev. Valeria Schmidt, pastor of Northborough’s Trinity Church, welcomed members of her congregation and guests to a special “Blessing of the Animals” service held Aug. 18 at Ellsworth McAfee Park. Congregants were encouraged to bring their pets or pictures of their furry family members to the service that included prayer and music. The informal service concluded with a pot luck lunch buffet.
