Northborough – For several years the town of Northborough had hoped to build a dog park. But unfortunately, the land that was chosen, the Yellick Conservation Area on Hudson Street, was prohibited by the Department of Conservation and Recreation for that type of use.
But now the state has had a change of heart and in fact, is actually encouraging and incentivizing use of properties such as this one to create such things like dog parks.
The town has been selected to be in DCR’s Partnership Matching Funds Program for fiscal year 2020. If Northborough can raise $16,300, DCR will then match that amount and construct the dog park at the Conservation Area.
