Framingham – George Alfred Griffin, 62, formerly of Framingham, died peacefully Aug. 11, 2019 in Asheville, N.C.
A U.S. Marine and a local singer for decades, Griffin is survived by a daughter, Colleen Clifford, and six siblings, Daniel, Michael, Edward, Gail Nason, Teresa Crane and Maureen Gerrish.
Burial will be Friday, Sept. 13, at 1:15 p.m., at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Groce Funeral Home, 1401 Patton Ave., Asheville, N.C.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charles George Veterans’ Medical Center Hospice Unit, Asheville, N.C.
