Shrewsbury History Week returns to SPAC TV Sept. 20 Shrewsbury History Week returns to SPAC TV Sept. 20Shrewsbury – The Shrewsbury Historical Society and Shrewsbury Media Connection will present the 11th annual Shrewsbury History Week produced by Paul Gustafson Friday, Sept. 20, through Sunday, Sept. 29, on SPAC TV 328HD and 28 featuring the following programs related to Shrewsbury history:

Friday, Sept. 20: “Lake Quinsigamond and White City” with Mike Perna at 8 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 21:  “Built to Last: Preserving Shrewsbury’s Historic Homes” with Erik Larson at 12 p.m.; “Juniper Hall: The Matthew Whittall Mansion and Gardens” with Linda and Lauren Davis and “Prospect Park” by Bill Davis at 1 p.m.; and “A Walk through History 2013” at 5:30 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 22: “A Walk Through History 2011” at 8 a.m.; “Memories of Early Shrewsbury” with Reuben Lebeaux, Lenore White, Lucy Ward, Bruce Ward and Mary Layden at 9 a.m.; “Shrewsbury and the 1918 – 1919 Influenza Pandemic” with Moira Miller at 3 p.m.; and

“Artemas Ward: Patriot of Bunker Hill” with Dr. James Smith at 10 p.m.

Monday, Sept. 23: “Remembering Shrewsbury’s Civil War Veterans” with Linda and Lauren Davis at 9 a.m.

Thursday, September 26:  “Celebrating 100 Years of Dean Park” with Angela Snell, Linda Davis, Barbara “Babs” Donahue and Tom Falzoi at 12 p.m.; and “Spags: An American Businessman” with Arthur Dobson, Bob Kincha and Lee Zola at 11 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 27: “Worcester Foundation for Experimental Biology” with John Campbell, Erik Larson and Claire O’Connor at 8 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 28: “The Lost Village of Prattville” with Erik Larson at 5:30 p.m.
