Northborough – Join Trinity Church of Northborough, 23 Main St., during Applefest Saturday, Sept. 21, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 22, from 11 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
There will be over 30 baskets for the raffle ranging in value from $50-$350. Baskets include everything from kiddie swim lessons and a $250 gift certificate to the Hanover Theatre to fitness memberships, nail and hair care, a night out at the movies and music lessons.
On Saturday, there will be crafters, Yummy Mummy cookie decorating (until 1 p.m.), and the thrift shop will be open at 10 a.m.
On Sunday, there will be family fun activities, including carnival games, slime station, spin art, and a bounce house. The church is also hosting an outdoor open mic where community members can share their musical talents. The Trinity Church barbecue starts at 11:30 a.m. with your choice of pulled pork, hot dog or Italian sausage and all the fixings. Visit the bake sale and enjoy homemade sweets and baked goods made by Trinity Church members.
Also on Sunday, volunteers will be assembling Blessing Bags with the community. Supplies will be on a table during Applefest for community members to “pick and pack” a one-gallon zip lock bag. People are welcome to take the filled bags with them to hand out of their car window when they see someone who may be homeless or benefit from a blessing bag. Bags can also be left at Trinity Church for parishioners to distribute to Worcester Fellowship.
