Shrewsbury Cultural Council seeks online grant proposals

Shrewsbury – The Shrewsbury Cultural Council has set a Tuesday, Oct. 15, deadline for organizations, schools and individuals to apply for grants that support a range of cultural activities, including exhibits, festivals, field trips, workshops, lectures, short-term artist residencies and performances. This year, the Shrewsbury Cultural Council will distribute about $13,100 in grants. Starting this year, grant money will be provided before the event. Applications should be submitted online at www.mass-culture.org and clicking on “Applicants.”

The Shrewsbury Cultural Council is part of a network of 329 Local Cultural Councils serving all 351 cities and towns in the commonwealth. Previously funded projects include EcoTarium Days, Center Stage theatre productions, Chamber Music MetroWest, author visits by April Jones Prince for Spring Street School, and Nava Shakthi Dance Production.
