Talk on ‘zero emissions’ to be held at Westborough Library

Westborough – The Rotary Club of Westborough will present a talk, “A Practical Case of Zero Emissions Energy and Transportation,” Saturday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m. at the Westborough Public Library, 55 W. Main St. Rotary member Sharad Mehta will provide some interesting and concerning information about climate change and trends. He makes a compelling case about the economics of installing solar panels and the concurrent use of an electric an electric vehicle to help reduce dependence on fossil fuels and their associated greenhouse gas emissions.

Mehta holds graduate degrees from the University of Illinois at Chicago and Purdue, and currently works at MIT Lincoln Labs in missile defense and humanitarian assistance & disaster relief. He is a member of Westborough Rotary’s newly formed Committee on the Environment, as well the Westborough Environmental Collaborative, a group consisting of members from local organizations concerned with the effects of climate change.
