Westborough Library goes spooky in October

Westborough – The Westborough Public Library, 55 West Main St., will host Ghostology 101 presented by Agawam Paranormal, Friday, Oct. 4, at 6:30 p.m. This program is designed to both entertain and educate the general public about the world of the paranormal. The Agawam Paranormal team will explore the basics of paranormal investigations, including terminology, equipment, EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena), spirit photography and video, and “ghost hunting” skills. The event is free and open to teens and adults.

On Saturday, Oct. 5, at 6:30 p.m., the Westborough Haunted Public Library is back by popular demand. Visit this year’s haunted library for the usual chills and thrills and help to solve the case of the disappearing teen. Travel through various library rooms, look for clues but be sure to avoid the not-so-happy haunts that come out after hours. This free event is run by Westborough teens and is open to adults, teens, and families with school-aged children who are brave enough to enter.

Every individual who enters the building must register for a “Timed Entry Pass.” This pass will tell you the time that you will be admitted into the building. Specific tour tickets will be given out upon arrival to pass holders on a first-come, first-served basis. Anyone with an entry pass will be guaranteed a tour ticket. Be sure to register for the timed entry that works best for you. Visitors will not be admitted earlier or later than their registered time.

Registration is required for both events through the library online calendar, https://westborough.assabetinteractive.com/calendar/ghostology-101/. Registration for the Haunted Library opens Monday, Sept. 23, at 9 a.m.
