Westborough – You may have already noticed flamingos flocking on a nearby lawn. The flamingos are in Westborough and surrounding communities to help Girl Scout Troop 30510 raise funds for their trip to Costa Rica in June 2020.

For $10 (12 flamingos), $20 (24), or $30 (36), you can flock family and friends to help them celebrate a special occasion. Larger flocks are also available. For an additional $10, the troop will make a sign to shout out a message to your “flockee.” The flock will “land” and help with your celebration for 24 hours, after which they will “fly away,” under the cover of darkness, of course. If you aren’t interested in seeing a flock of flamingos on your lawn, you may buy “Insurance for the Prevention of Large Pink Birds” and support the troop for only $10.

To schedule a date to flock your special someone, to purchase insurance, or for more information, contact Julie Baldwin at 508-439-1754, Mary McDermott at 617-840-4298, or email [email protected] or [email protected]. To see photos and get some ideas, visit their Facebook page.
