Grafton – For the second time in as many years, legendary folk and blues musician Tom Rush played to a sold out crowd at Apple Tree Arts, performing in the Great Hall Sept. 27.

Telling stories and playing songs from newly written to some stretching back to when his “dorm was just a block away” from the famous Club 47 in Cambridge, Rush entertained the audience for a two-plus hour show.  Accompanying Rush was Matt Nakoa on keyboards. Nakoa’s notes ranged from subtle sounds mixing beautifully with Rush’s light guitar notes and smooth voice to songs where Nakoa’s fingers flew across the keys pounding out notes that were non-stop. Additionally, Nakoa played a number of songs alone on guitar.
