Vigeant, Garceau to contend in city election

Marlborough – Mayor Arthur Vigeant and current city Police Officer David Garceau garnered the most votes in a three-way race for mayor in a special preliminary election held Oct. 8. Vigeant had 1,451 votes, Garceau 666 and the third candidate, Keith St. John, 356.

Vigeant and Garceau will now face off in the Tuesday, Nov. 5 city election.

According to City Clerk Steven Kerrigan, 2,485 (10.98 percent) of the city’s 22,663 registered voters participated in the preliminary election.
