Algonquin boys, girls advance to playoffs

Northborough – – The Algonquin Regional High School boys and girls soccer teams both earned playoff spots as they triumphed over Tantasqa Regional High School in a soccer doubleheader Oct. 12.

The third-ranked boys defeated Tantasqua 4-2.  Charlie Hynes, Luke Osetek, Jacob Carulli and Patrick Freeman all scored goals for the Tomahawks.  The Algonquin boys advanced to 7-1-5 on the season with the win.

The top-ranked girls shut out Tantasqua 2-0, with goals scored by Lucy Gauvin and Taylor Moore.  The Algonquin girls remain undefeated with an 8-0-3 record on the season.
