Three area chambers to hold veterans event at American Heritage Museum

Hudson – The Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce, together with the Worcester Regional and MetroWest Chambers of Commerce, announces a joint event to honor and celebrate veterans Tuesday, Nov. 12, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the American Heritage Museum, 568 Main St., Hudson.

This unique networking event entitled “Technology, Fortitude, and History: A Tri-Chamber Networking Event Celebrating Our Veterans and the Armed Forces” will salute the nation’s veterans and features a trip through the United States’ conflicts via the Hudson-based museum’s collection. Guests will explore the human impact of America’s fight to preserve freedom and learn how technological innovations have changed the lives of both the military personnel and civilians.

An honor guard will present a special salute followed by a brief speaking program from approximately 6 to 6:30 p.m. A portion of Worcester and MetroWest proceeds will benefit Veterans Inc. and Sweats for Vets in Marlborough.

President and CEO of the Marlborough Regional Chamber Robert Schlacter said: “We are thrilled to honor the men and women who have served our military throughout America’s history. It is exciting to share this celebration with our chamber partners and members graciously hosted by the Collings Foundation in a stunning new museum they have built in our community.”

A rare and exceptional display of military technology, the museum begins with the Revolutionary War taking visitors through a history of battles to the War on Terror.

“We are very pleased to join our Chamber partners in recognizing the men and women who have served our country,” said Jim Giammarinaro, president and CEO of the MetroWest Chamber. “Their brave and selfless acts have provided us with the freedom we enjoy today. The museum is beautiful and the perfect destination for anyone who want to know more about our nation’s heroes.”

The event will include complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. The museum will open especially for this event. Admission to the event is free for veterans who are members of the Marlborough and Worcester chambers and $15 for non-members.

To register, veterans and chamber members should call their respective chamber office: Marlborough, 508-485-7746; MetroWest, 508-879-5600; and Worcester, 508-753-2924.

The cost to attend for registrants is $30 for Chamber members, and $40 for non-Chamber members.
