Shrewsbury – The Community Meeting Rooms at the Shrewsbury Public Library were transformed into a spooky space as the Children’s Department held a Halloween Spooktacular event on Oct. 26.

Halloween costumes were optional but most of the younger set came decked out. There were super heroes and ghosts and plenty of animal characters including “Simba.”

Guests entered the through a “Spooky Room” complete with ghosts, pumpkins and an old fashioned Halloween cartoon playing on a movie screen in the background which was staffed by teen volunteers.

Kids of all ages and their grown-ups then proceeded into the main room where a very long craft table was set up with all the materials to make a flying ghost. The fun continued with games and bobbing for apples.
