Joyce Danielson from Danielson Flowers in Shrewsbury donated her time and floral materials to each guest. The café is held on the second and fourth Fridays of each month for people living with dementia and their care partners. Guests are welcome whose dementia is due to any underlying condition, at any stage of the disease.

The café is sponsored by the Friends of the Shrewsbury Senior Center and is free for participants. It runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and includes lunch and program.

“We have a wonderful group of loving people attending the café,” said coordinator Merrie Gerber. “They support each other, have fun together and truly appreciate the program. We have grown from about four members in October of 2018 to between 14 to 22 members on any given week. The volunteers and I feel blessed to be able to be part of this program.”
