Shrewsbury – Christine Mowry, executive director of Shrewsbury Youth and Family Services (SYFS) welcomed friends and supporters of the agency to a harvest-themed dinner Oct. 25 at Cyprian Keyes Golf Club, in Boylston.
The event was informal as the focus was on connecting with friends over cocktails and a buffet dinner featuring accompanied by the sounds of the local band Persons of Interest.
Mowry expressed her gratitude in her short remarks as guests took their seats. She said she was very grateful for the support and generosity of those present. The work of the agency would not be possible without their support, she said, and there is still so much more to do.
SYFS provides counseling and other supportive services to members of the community through outpatient counseling and support programs, parent support groups and a host of services to residents and families who may be in need of assistance. In addition the agency offers a Mental Health First Aid course as well as a number of youth oriented programs.
