Hudson – Kathleen E. Frechette, 74, of Hudson Massachusetts passed away unexpectedly in the presence of her family at Marlboro Hospital on November 2, 2019 after a brief illness. She was the widow of Joseph D. Frechette, who died in December, 1997
Kathy was born May 31, 1945 in Stratford-upon-Avon, England and to Raymond H. Mashtare of Grand Isle, VT. and Ivy E. (Thomas) Mashtare of Birmingham, England. Kathy was raised in Plattsburg, NY. where she graduated Plattsburg High School in 1963.
After marrying Joe they moved to Pope Air Force Base in Fayetteville, NC for a short while before settling in Hudson to raise their family.
Kathy was a long time employee of Panametrics /General Electric where she served as an Engineering Technician before retiring in 2016.
Kathy was spent her free time gardening, crocheting, and doing needlepoint. Many family and friends possess fine examples of her handiwork, especially the wonderful afghans she crocheted for the birth of each new child.
Kathy is survived by her son Joseph L. Frechette of Hudson; son Daniel E. Frechette and his wife, Pamela M. Frechette of West Boylston; and daughter Elizabeth A. Gaucher and her husband Keith A. Gaucher of Northboro. She also leaves many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Relatives and Friends are invited to calling hours on Saturday, November 9th from 2 to 4 pm at Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home at 50 Central Street Hudson, Ma 01583. A memorial service will immediately follow.
