Marlborough teacher’s words of advice still resonate far away from homeMarlborough – Liv Rainville sent this picture to her former health teacher, Amy Chirco, from the campus at UC Berkeley. Chirco distributes the imprinted pencils at Marlborough High School, telling students that when someone asks them to try drugs, they should refuse and hold up their pencils saying, “Because Mrs. Chirco says I can’t.”

“So many former students tell me they take their pencil everywhere with them,” Chirco laughed.
