Phyllis HolmesHudson – Phyllis Holmes, 87, passed away on November 26th, 2019 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.  Phyllis was a long time resident of Hudson and well known for her accounting and tax preparation business.  She was the wife of the late William “Bud” Holmes and daughter of the late Mildred Hardy and Kenneth Slusher.

She leaves behind her sister Kenna LaDonne Slusher of Cape Girardeau, MO, her four children, Cindy and her husband Paul Cormier of Hudson, Judy and her husband Patrick Dooley of Manchester, CT, Kenny Holmes and his wife Debbi of Worcester, and Maryalice and her husband Ralph Massa of Winthrop.  In addition, she leaves her grandchildren, Jillian and her husband James, Jake and his fiancé Ashley, Elise and her husband Nick, Rachel, Niall, Shelby and her husband Nick, Colby, and Tyler and three great grandchildren, Logan, Liam, and Amelia. Phyllis also leaves her faithful cat Molly.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of the Carriage House at Lee’s Farm for their kindness, support, and care of Phyllis in the last years of her life.

There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, November 30th 2019,  at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough, MA, followed by a burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home in Hudson.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL ( https://act.alz.org) in hopes that a cure can be found soon.
